The Family Life Office strives to incorporate a sensitivity to families and to promote the partnership, strengths, and resources of families. We provide programs for the engaged, married, widowed or divorced, their children, single-parent families and others in the family unit.

Marriage
  • Convalidation Classes - Offered for couples who are married civilly and wish to transition to a sacramental marriage. Go to Pre-Cana dates & locations.
  • Marriage is Forever - Explains the process for getting married in the Diocese of Little Rock. Go to Marriage Is Forever pamphlet (PDF file)
  • Pre-Cana Day - A one day retreat for engaged couples to spend time together reflecting on their relationship and future marriage. This fulfills the educational portion of the required marriage preparation. Go to Pre-Cana brochure or download the Pre-Cana registration form (PDF file)
  • Sponsor Couple - A couple-to- couple marriage prearation ministry between married and engaged couples. The sponsor couple assists the engaged couple in reflecting on the reality of married life. This fulfills the educational portion of the required marriage preparation.
  • Marriage Encounter - Weekend programs for couples who seek to enrich their marriages. Local, National and World Wide Marriage Encounters are offered in the diocese.   • Marriage Anniversary Mass - Celebrated each year in the Diocese of Little Rock to honor couples who have been married 25 or 50 years or more. For dates and location, go to Program Schedule
Family
  • Divorce & Beyond - support group program for those who are suffering the pain of a relationship loss due to divorce. Go to Divorce & Beyond Flyer
  • Beginning Experience - A weekend retreat for adults grieving the loss of a love relationship through death, divorce or separation. See article on this ministry in the Arkansas Catholic.
  • Retrouvaille - a weekend experience designed to help heal and renew troubled and hurting marriages. Go to Retrouvaille registration form (PDF file)
  • Mother/Daughter and Father/Son Chastity Program -
